In a constantly evolving industry such as plastics, we believe that innovation must go hand in hand with sustainability. For this reason, every day we work to develop solutions that not only improve plant performance but also reduce the environmental impact of production.

With over 1,200 screen changers produced every year for extrusion systems, we provide our customers with proven technical expertise and a strong focus on customization. But we do not stop there: our commitment also extends to energy efficiency and emission reduction.

We have optimized the energy consumption of our systems through the use of thermal insulation elements, enabling significant energy savings. Since 2016, we have also been producing clean energy through a 200 kW photovoltaic system, which has generated over 1,755 MWh and has helped avoid the emission of 1,228 tons of CO₂.

BD Plast is an Italian company founded in 1986, specialising in the design, manufacture and sale of filtration systems for plastic polymers. Its product range includes manual, hydraulic and continuous-flow filter changers, static filters, components for extrusion lines and accessories. With 40 years of experience, the company manages the entire process: from engineering to on-site installation.

The manual filter changer is the most cost-effective solution, suitable for standard production runs where a brief interruption to the process is acceptable. The hydraulic filter changer allows filter elements to be replaced whilst the plant is running, making it ideal for high production capacities. The continuous-flow filter changer, on the other hand, ensures a perfectly uninterrupted flow of polymer, eliminating waste and interruptions in the production cycle: it is the ideal choice for lines where process consistency is critical.

The Clean Changer is BD Plast’s patented innovation, designed specifically for the extrusion industry. It is a high-performance solution that meets the quality and continuity requirements of the most advanced production lines. The range is much broader. In addition to various types of filter changers, BD Plast manufactures adaptors, bends, necks, accessories, support trolleys and hydraulic power units.
